New Cairo Technological University Students on Their First Scientific Visit to the New and Renewable Energy Authority
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Naema Allah, President of New Cairo Technological University, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdel Malak Mikhael, Vice President of the University, the university organized the first scientific visit for students of the New and Renewable Energy program to the New and Renewable Energy Authority in Nasr City on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. This visit was part of the students’ weekly training program to enable them to benefit both scientifically and practically.
The visit began with a reception by a group of engineers from the authority, who then conducted an introductory tour for the students to demonstrate how organic waste is recycled using the authority’s machinery and converted into materials that support environmental safety.The visit also included an introduction to solar energy, where students learned about different types of solar heaters and how they can be converted into electrical energy.At the end of the visit, students were introduced to various types of solar cells and panels and how to match them with standard specifications.New Cairo Technological University extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the New and Renewable Energy Authority for their warm reception and cooperation with the students.
